It’s time to upgrade your T1D! How do you do that? Well, together with a whole group of other awesome type 1s who, just like you, are ready to connect!

The very first “Level Up T1D” event, specifically for young people and young adults with type 1 diabetes aged 15 to 25, will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2026 .

No nagging parents, no checking doctors. No strange looks from peers who’ve never seen a drop of insulin, had a needle inserted into their abdomen, or woken up every night by a beeping sensor.

On this day, you surround yourself with people who do understand all that. For whom a word or a look is enough. With whom you can make lame diabetes jokes and guess about carbs together over lunch, or perhaps do nothing of the sort, but just be together. Everything is fine, and that’s what’s so great about this day.

What are we going to do?

We’ll meet at the KartFabrique in Utrecht, where we’ve put together a fantastic program for you.

Noortje de Brouwer will be speaking. She won Olympic bronze as a synchronized swimmer just a few months after being diagnosed with type 1. Be inspired by her story.

After Noortje’s story, we’ll have lunch together and prepare for the afternoon program. First, we’ll dive into the Prison Escape together. Who will score the most points with their group?! Afterward, you can choose between a game of laser tag or a heat kart race . Indicate your preference on the registration form. We’ll end the day with a convivial drink.

Everyone with type 1 diabetes between the ages of 15 and 25

Costs:

To prevent no-shows, we ask for a small contribution of €15 per person. You can register via the button on the right side of this page.
